 Enjoy Aspen and the surrounding Roaring Fork area with bountiful activities and beautiful scenery. Aspen is rich in history dating back to 1879 with mining as its main staple. Fast forward to over a decade and a half to the modern Aspen, home to hundreds of world known shops, boutiques, galleries and fine restaurants. You’ll witness the latest styles, designs and trends and maybe even catch a glimpse of some celebrities.
Aspen offers activities for all ages and agendas. Known for its world class ski resorts, Aspen area has much more to offer. Biking, hiking, fly fishing, golfing and white water rafting is just a sample of summer fun. Winter activities are just as plentiful with Nordic skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding and more. The surrounding Roaring Fork area offers an array of towns all with different personalities. Discover castles, hot springs, caves and mines all within a short distance from Aspen.
With air transportation offered by United and Frontier and conveniently located only a few minutes from downtown Aspen, it’s easy to get around without a vehicle. Free shuttles are available throughout the Aspen and Snowmass area. Simply hop on a bike in the summer with a path following the river all the way to Glenwood Springs. Mountain House Lodge is convenient to both the shuttle and a half block from the bike path.
